Wexford County Masters Road Race – a great night to finish off the 2016 road season. Two medals, lots of club support from the non running United Striders gang, our youngest member out in support and a brilliant night out in Kilmore afterwards to top it off, off home then on the bus!
The women headed out first on a 4k course, and delighted to say that the Striders women outnumbered the men this time! We had 8 women all in great order with Karina Sommers, Catherine Ronan, Alison Murphy, Lettie Roche, Sonya Byrne, Sinead Donovan, Fiona Donovan and our newest runner Emma Hewlett.
Congrats to Emma on her first county race with us, could be 20 years since her last race so delighted to have her in the gang, inspiring to the young group of Juveniles that she trains with great love.
Plus HUGE congrats to the great Catherine Ronan who won a category medal for 1st Over 50, well deserved.
The men then headed out on the 6k course, with a good representation of 7 and great runs put in by all. 
Congrats to John McGrath, David Byrne, Allan O’Connor, Mick O’Gorman, Pat O’Callaghan, Martin Kehoe and John Kent. Huge well done guys.
To top it off John McGrath picked up a category medal as 1st Over 40, well deserved too for one of our great club men.
