A brilliant day yesterday for Striders in Tullamore in Leinster team event. Competing in 5 events Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, 800m and 4X100m Relay, our u15 Boys (Oisin McEochaidh, Owen Lennon, Darragh Flannelly, Adam O’Connor and Aidan Shannon) were 2nd and u15 girls (Kelly Corbett, Ciara Murphy, Erinn Shannon, Eve Byrne and Louise Doyle) 3rd. Brilliant day watching the lads go through all the events. In many ways the best event of the year in Track & field.
We also had a boys u13 (Finn Kelly, Eoin Shannon, Cosmo Hewlett and Myles Hewlett) and a boys u11 (Ronan Shannon, Sam Myers, Eoin Hannan and Olan Delaney) competing. They were just outside the medals but accounted for themselves very well all day with many PB’s achieved along the way.
