What a day for such an amazing club .. cross country intermediate and masters county championships in wexford .. medals galore!! Such muck and rain but our club proved they are a force to be reckoned with.. firstly our eight tough, competitive women competed to win GOLD in the county intermediate and BRONZE in the masters ..we are so proud of them.A huge big thank you to the ladies coach John Kent whose catch phrase is “ finish strong” and that’s exactly what they did and then even though they had a hard act to follow our boys excelled .. Alan O Connor bronze in the intermediate, John Mc Grath bronze in the masters overall, George Delaney gold masters O45, and to cap it all 2 team silver medals .. Alan, George, Pat Callaghan ( the legend) and Pat Murray in the intermediate and John, Alan, George and Ted in the masters… what a club … go Striders, bring on 2018 now.
