Leinster Masters Indoor Championship, Abbotstown, 24-Feb-2018

The senior Striders were competing in the Leinster Masters Indoor Championships, last Saturday. Gavin Kelly had an amazing day. He won the Long Jump event, and won silver medals in both the 400m and the 800m events. Aine Cullen added another field medal to her collection, this time a silver in the High Jump. Fantastic running from Paula Freeman in 60m and 200m, only 0.7 of a second from a medal in her 60m. John McGrath had a super day as well, winning his 1500m race in the morning and then for good measure, he came 2nd in the 3000m in the afternoon. Staying with the middle distance events, Aedan Rogers had a great run in his Junior 1500m, coming 4th in a seasons best of 4:17. Last but certainly not least, Alan O’Connor had a great run over 3000m, running a great time of 9:45, for a 4th place finish in the ultra competitive over 40 category.
