St Senan’s AC Open Track & Field, Kilmacow, 22-Apr-2018

St Senan’s AC hosted a wonderful day of athletics at Kilmacow today and USAC were represented in big numbers as we retained the best club shield award. Well done to the Striders juvenile squad of TJ Murphy, Billy Carney, Katie Phelan, Adam Burke, Sam Dowling, Donagh Grennan, Fionn McEochaidh, Ceilim Kehoe, Aoife Moran, Gearoid Byrne, Cormac Delaney, Lauren Phelan, Eanna Grennan, Lilly Meekins, Leah Kehoe, Maeve Burke, Moya Corbett, Olan Delaney, Eoin Hannan, Sam Myers, Keelan Ryan, Tommaso Hickey, Sean Lennon, Jim Malone, Cosmo Hewlett, Myles Hewlett, Finn Kelly, Ben Myers, Isabel Bawden, Hazel Hickey, Kelly Corbett, Eve Byrne, Louise Doyle, Aaron Browne, Ryan Kielthy, Daniel Wickham, Aoife NiEochaidh, Rebecca Bawden and Aedan Rogers. All did fantastically well to contribute to the best club competition, which is very difficult to win and has a very distinguished list of previous winners. Birthday boy, Finn Kelly, was delighted to accept the shield and take it back to New Ross for the second year running. Medal winners on the day were (apologies if we’ve missed a few) :

In addition, we had medal winning performances from Emma Hewlett, super coach turned super athlete, and fresh from his recent exploits on the European road running circuit, George Delaney. National multi-event medal winning Gavin Kelly put in another solid performance in the senior 3,000m.
