St Senans AC Open Cross Country, Kilmacow, 20-Sep-2020

The Striders juveniles were in action for the first time in months at the St Senans AC Open cross country event today. With Covid-19 processes in place, health and safety was top priority for the host club and the event was run in a very efficient manner. Fionn McEochaidh was first Strider home in the BU12 event, with James Cleere and Daniel Redmond making up a solid team, to get us off to a great start. Luna Neville and Ava Kehoe both finished in the top dozen, with great efforts over 1.5km. Max Murphy was our sole competitor in the BU14 event and recorded an excellent 3rd place in a really competitive event. The GU16 team won a really well deserved team medal, with all four girls performing really well. Cora Noonan finished the 3km strongly, to lead home the team that also included strong runs from Aoife Lyng, Isabel Bawden and Hazel Hickey. Luca O’Connor and Tommaso Hickey did well, in the heat, alos over 3km. The last of our juveniles in action were our U18’s, with all competing very strongly. Louise Doyle ran well in the girls event, as did Ben Wall, Robert Wall and Adam O’Connor, in their event. Well done to all Striders who competed today.

(Apologies if I’ve missed anybody)
